The story of Salome and King Harod is especially relevant today when gaging the importance our culture places on youth and beauty.  Even today, mothers will convince her own daughter to impress a wealthy man, the Orangutan Harod, transformed into a Cactus.   Psychologically they hold the young girl prisoner in a gilded cage.  The Virgin Mary encased in a Phallic shrine.

Circumsicion

Looking over the shoulder of the woman, it ameliorates a desolate mood.  The observer is even further removed from the want.  Like a carefully kept secret, it rejects intrusion.  Female circumcision remains a practice even in Europe and Africa in modern times.  A girl is held down by her mother while her grandmother performs a home surgical cliterectemy with a dirty knife and be sewn up.  Ensuring her purity retains honor for the family and herself.  They can remain hopeful for a suitable marriage.  That is the extent of concern for a daughters well being in oppressively religious backgrounds.

This piece was Inspired by Ayaan Hiirsi Ali Somalian refugee and the murder of Vincent Van Gogh’s grandnephew film director Theo Van Gogh.   Muslim doctrine forbids the depiction of natural forms in Art, and perhaps the lack of exposure their culture has had to the female form has actually stifled the liberty of women.  That western women bare their breasts, like Delacroix’s Parisian Victoria, is perhaps a psychological factor in the West that grants the fairer sex’s civic freedom.

Ever-budding Garden of Lechery

Her body calculated to a millimeter to suggest a bud yet guarantee a flower.  The flirtatious legs of a budding nubile recline on a backlit wickerchair suggesting a prudish wedding-veil for the virgin.  A dog with a lions tail suggests mutation, and potent beastial crossbreeding.  The dog may stand for loyalty but also for promiscuity because it shows no discrimination in choice of partners. 

Marriage From SEX WITH ANIMALS Broken luminous color planes and jagged edges turns the forms from innocent and naive hedonism to dark anguish and helplessness.  There are no second acts in American lives.  And for some, Jane Austen’s values for woman’s success have not changed in 200 years.

From SEX WITH ANIMALS Quadroped’s unique cello-esque lines describe forms of continuity in space.   The pinwheel composition was inspired by the snake that eats itself.  Everybody's youth is a dream, a form of chemical madness. The Monkey is associated with dirty sexuality.  As the result of inferiority slave complex, their rage is circuited into unceremonious coital fury.  Forgotten is forgiven. Nobody will ever win the Battle of the Sexes.  There's just too much fraternizing with the enemy. This painting asks; who is really the animal?

Priapus and Flora

The organically mechanistic figures as realized in the work of Zabet Puckett, cocoon in the tightly knit compositions lifted from the earth to some transcendental region.  It is sadder to find the past again and find it inadequate to the present than it is to have it elude you and remain forever a harmonious conception of memory.

Priapus’s lust and obsession is suggested as a surge of life giving fluid left to the imagination.  The use of perspective gives the viewer a sense of falling.  It scoops down a vertigo and manifests into a a mythic fawn brandishing her tail-feather.   A doe is the symbol of shy fugitive innocent womanliness.  His stalking and perversion is no more in his control than the surge of the water fall with gravity.

Flesh like rock suggest pornographic genitalia of the earth.  A young Chavanne-esque girl is back to front in this serene portrait, her head relocated and diurnally lit as the cerebral body of the moon.  Facelessness means lack of consciousness.  Impermanence of the earth is suggested by the twisted back of the girl, symbolizing our young and fragile, everchanging planet.

Action is character. To a profound pessimist about life, being in danger is not depressing.  A flaming sword of justice, often interpreted as a phallic patriarchal symbol, the heroin peirces the Bull where he is most vulnerable, in his eye.  In similar spirit of Van Gogh landscapes, the violently painted grass adds to the collision of the Bull and the Amazon.  This means to convey, is that woman can dominate man by her own body.  And for the male his eye is his Achilles tendon.  Compared to some of the other pieces this is a constructive picture denoting the future of a Femme Fatal epidemic in modern culture.

From the vibrant colors chosen we get the sense of perfume in the air, as if to remind us of our own mothers dressing room. A Venus d’Milo gapes in the mirror at her own psychotic reflection, as a child-like primate, gazes up at the figure in obsession. Her vanity fortified by his gaping animal maw. This scenario displays the deep obsession with the female figure.
